Nearly 150 members and guests have signed up so far for the 21st Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) annual national members’ conference on ‘Leadership in Fleet Management’ to be held on Tuesday November 12 at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon. The event is kindly hosted by Jaguar Land Rover and co-sponsored by FMG, the UK’s largest independent incident prevention and fleet management services provider. Conference support partners are Thrifty Car & Van Rental, AutoWindscreens and Fleet Hire.

Chairman of the ICFM, Roddy Graham declared: “Bookings for the conference are coming in thick and fast indicating that our chosen theme of ‘Leadership in Fleet Management’ for this year’s conference has particular resonance among registered delegates.”

An additional panellist has been recruited to participate in the morning debate on ‘Leading Technology in Fleet’. Mike Bell, global connected car director, at Jaguar Land Rover will join the expert panel of guest speakers including Martin Evans, managing director of Jaama Limited; Olly Macé, head of global strategy and external affairs for BP Biofuels; Darren Lindsey, commercial product director at Michelin PLC; and Bob Holbrey, group IT director at FMG Limited.

Alec Stewart OBE is the conference guest speaker. Alec is former captain of the England cricket team. He is the most capped English cricketer of all time in Test matches and 2nd most capped in One Day Internationals, having played in 133 Tests and 170 ODIs. Besides giving insights into his interesting life, he will also present this year’s ICFM awards.

The annual national members’ conference will commence at 10.00am and finish at 3.00pm. ICFM members will be allowed to bring one guest with them.
