KME Yorkshire has announced strategic changes to its UK sales force.

Three Regional Managers, who have a combined 86 years of industry experience, will be responsible for their own individual area of the country and will liaise with new and existing clients to add even more value to the company’s offering.

David Wright is Regional Manager for Scotland and the North and will be responsible for clients across Scotland, Northern Ireland and England to the M62 corridor. He joined KME Yorkshire over a year ago and quickly established himself as a valued member of the team.

Mike Sykes, who has worked for KME Yorkshire for seven years, will cover the East of the country from the M1 including Lincolnshire, East Anglia and Kent. He brings 36 years of industry insight and contacts to the role.

Bev Forber joined KME Yorkshire 28 years ago and has climbed the copper career ladder during her time at the company. She has been promoted from Sales Office Team Manager to Regional Manager for the West. She will be responsible for all areas west of the M1 through to the south coast and into Cornwall.

The sales team is headed up by UK Sales Director Nick Horton who devised the new strategy to expand and develop services based on his experience and extensive consultation with current and potential clients.

Nick said: “It is important that we continually monitor the industry and conduct open and honest dialogue with all our customers to ensure that we are meeting their needs on all levels.

“Building strong relationships that are formed on the basis of excellent products and outstanding service is a future proof way of ensuring that everyone benefits.

“It is vital that we employ the best people for the job and I am delighted to welcome the team to their new roles.

“I look forward to hearing feedback from the team and, of course, our valued customers as we continue to lead the way with our celebrated Yorkshire Copper Tube brand.”

Operating from one of the most modern factories in the world, KME Yorkshire Ltd combines advanced manufacturing methods and sophisticated quality control techniques to ensure that only consistently high standard tubes are supplied to customers.

Ongoing substantial investment programmes are testament to the company’s commitment to excellence in product quality and customer service and all KME Yorkshire’s copper plumbing products are made to the European Standard BS EN 1057.

The company holds the coveted British Standards Institute ‘Kitemark’ approval status and offers extensive guarantees to give added peace of mind that its copper tube products will give long-term, trouble-free service.

KME Yorkshire is a member of the KME Group of companies, which together represent Europe’s largest producer of copper and copper alloy materials.
