IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that high-tech manufacturer Beijer Electronics has gone live with IFS Applications 7.5 at its Industrial Data Communications and Swedish HMI divisions. The solution is equipped with IFS Enterprise Explorer, an innovative user interface developed to improve user experience featuring intuitive navigation commonly found in web-based consumer applications.

Beijer Electronics is a leading provider of high-tech industrial automation and robust data communications solutions. The company has opted for a group-wide implementation of IFS Applications to support and standardize its business processes. Besides providing a good functional fit, IFS Applications distinguished itself from other solutions thanks to its user-friendliness, perfectly encapsulated by the interface IFS Enterprise Explorer.

“Today, especially our young users expect a competent and modern interface like IFS Enterprise Explorer and usability was therefore an important factor for us when selecting business applications and one of the reasons for selecting IFS Applications. By implementing the IFS Enterprise Explorer interface, we are promoting user productivity by providing an intuitive tool for easy navigation through our business data,” said Joakim Stolt, IT Manager at Beijer Electronics.

“We understand the complex nature of Beijer Electronics’ complex, multi-national operations. Our ambition has always been to design user-centric solutions that offer simple navigation and data registration. We are convinced that Beijer Electronics will continue to benefit from our focus on usability and user experience,” said Dan Matthews, CTO at IFS.

Usability has been a key focus for IFS for many years and one that is highly appreciated by its customers. IFS Enterprise Explorer has been extremely well received and has motivated IFS to continue its focus on user experience in all development projects. Lately, IFS has launched its new BI solution, collaboration tools based on social media, as well as IFS Touch Apps—all of which include modern user experience capabilities and innovative user-friendly design. IFS remains committed to user experience innovations and will soon launch an enhanced user experience for the next core version.
