Comprehensive IFS solution to increase business transparency and shorten lead times across the company’s operations in Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Spain and France

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Feldbinder, one of the largest European manufacturers of silo trucks, tankers, railcars and containers, has decided to implement IFS Applications™ 10.

With IFS Applications 10, Feldbinder will equip its two production sites in Germany with state-of-the-art enterprise technology to link its business processes, standardize system operations, and aggregate the know-how of its staff in a common, unified system. The solution will also be deployed at the company’s service subsidiaries as well as at its foreign sales locations. When fully implemented, Feldbinder will be able to leverage an integrated, multi-site system that extends from financials, accounting and payroll through materials management, production, delivery and invoicing to service and repairs.

By increasing its cross-departmental transparency, Feldbinder will be able to make better decisions and optimize and synchronize the capacity planning of the individual production units and hence drastically reduce production lead times. IFS Applications will also enable the company to achieve high standards of occupational safety and better support the development of vehicle prototypes together with its customers.

Following a rigorous selection process, Feldbinder opted for IFS Applications 10 in competition with a number of major ERP vendors. One of the company’s key considerations was the solution’s comprehensive process support, the outstanding user-friendliness of IFS Aurena, its robust tools for multi-site collaboration, and its powerful configuration kit capability.

IFS Applications 10 will be deployed in parallel at Feldbinder’s two production sites and at its service companies in Germany as well as for the company’s international sales organizations in Austria, Great Britain, Spain and France.

“IFS Applications 10 supports nearly all of our domestic and international business processes straight out of the box. It also enables us to collect the individual know-how of our employees in one system and thus make it available to everyone,” said Dirk Feldbinder, Managing Partner at Feldbinder. “We are very excited about deploying a leading-edge, integrated solution and we look forward to the next step in our digitalization journey."

Peter Höhne, Vice President Sales & Marketing for IFS in Central Europe, added, “User experience, service integration and optimal process support for internationally active manufacturing companies are among the areas in which we have invested heavily during the development of IFS Applications 10. The agreement with Feldbinder shows once again that we are on the right track and we look forward to a long and successful cooperation.”
