Hollywood Production Center Takes On New Tenant, Plus Current Tenant and Community News

Hollywood Production Center has taken on a new tenant in SJ2 Entertainment as well as is the production base for season 2 of the Game Show Network’s “The Chase” to air in November and has partnered with Glendale Arts to host the free Pop Up! Concert series taking place each Thursday through September.

Hollywood Production Center wishes to announce the addition of its newest tenant, SJ2 Entertainment which joins a growing number of entertainment industry professionals making HPC their home. SJ2 Entertainment produces the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards Show for The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. This is the 18th year that SJ2 Entertainment has been hired to produce the popular annual awards show.

The telecast of the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will air this upcoming weekend at 8 pm on Sunday, September 22 at LA’s downtown Nokia Theater. This year’s host will be Neil Patrick Harris who will be joined by various other A-list talents like Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Bryan Cranston, Amy Poehler and Zooey Deschanel.

Also, one of HPC’s current tenants, the Game Show Network, has announced the airing of season 2 of their popular game show The Chase. Two episodes of the original eight in season 1 were cut and tagged to be run with the second season. November is the expected airing date of season 2 of GSN’s The Chase. GSN says they have enjoyed their stay at HPC and are pleased to continue at the production space which have offered all they need to produce The Chase.

Community news provided by Hollywood Production Center is the continued concert series taking place every Thursday through the month of September. HPC and Glendale Arts collaborated to present the Pop Up! Concert series that has been providing weekly musical performances in downtown Glendale. Food for each of the Thursday events is provided by different restaurants including Olive Garden, California Pizza Kitchen and BJ’s. There are two remaining concerts taking place in celebration of this last month of the 2013 summer season. The event takes place outdoors and is free to attend.
