Annette Brodin Rampe is leaving her position as CEO of Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige Holdings II AB (IES) effective today, 21 January 2019. IES’s board of directors has appointed Cecilia Marlow as interim CEO from the same date. Cecilia Marlow has served as a board member of IES since 2016 and knows the company well. Her background includes solid experience as a CEO, including for Kronans Apotek and Polarn O. Pyret. She is currently a member of several boards, including Kivra, Fazer Group and MatHem. The recruitment of a new CEO will commence with immediate effect and will be led by the chairman of the board, Birker Bahnsen.

”We have different views on the leadership needed to implement the strategy for IES and therefore it is not possible for me to continue as CEO. During my time as CEO we have laid the groundwork for the accelerated growth of IES, of which I'm proud. IES is a fantastic organisation and I would like to thank all employees, including the management team, principals, teachers and support staff for their outstanding engagement and the work they do every day for the schools and the children. I will closely follow the company’s journey forward.” commented Annette Brodin Rampe, outgoing CEO of IES.

”During her time as CEO Annette has initiated several strategic projects which will benefit the long-term development of IES. I thank Annette for her valuable contribution. IES has a strong financial position, an experienced organisation and the company’s full focus remains on delivering high quality education and continuing expansion in Sweden and Spain”, commented Birker Bahnsen, chairman of the IES board.
