UNITEDHEALTHCARE PARTNERS WITH VERIZON’S HOW SWEET THE SOUND GOSPEL CELEBRATION AS PART OF MULTI-CITY TOUR
Health Screenings & Interactive Wellness Activities Highlighted At Select Tour Stops
New York - September 5, 2012 - UnitedHealthcare has partnered with the country’s premiere and most prestigious gospel music experience Verizon’s How Sweet The Sound Gospel Celebration as it kicks off its fifth awe-inspiring year.
As part of the collaboration with Verizon’s How Sweet The Sound, UnitedHealthcare will provide health screening stations for cholesterol, glucose, BMI and blood pressure in select cities throughout the tour. It will also host interactive wellness activities such as a Healthy Food Challenge and Gospel Word Scramble at its UnitedHealthcare booth, located on the concourse level at venues. Attendees who stop by the UnitedHealthcare booth can register to win a $500 gift card or a special meet and greet with event host and GRAMMY® award-winning songwriter, producer, arranger and music director Donald Lawrence. UnitedHealthcare health screenings and interactive wellness activities will take place in Dallas; Atlanta; Washington, D.C.; Newark, N.J.; Los Angeles; and New York.
Verizon’s How Sweet The Sound pays tribute to gospel music and provides choirs a platform to showcase their talent with a broader community. The program is an unforgettable gospel music experience that unites communities and cities all across America in celebration and song. Choirs from coast to coast get a chance to rejoice in song and praise; sing in front of gospel greats and fans; and compete for a chance to win cash and prizes. The tour, hosted by Donald Lawrence and Yolanda Adams, with special performances from competition judges Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond and Hezekiah Walker, kicked off September 6th in Dallas at the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie and culminates on November 4th in New York at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
