New Black and White Home Accessories from LS/Lazy Susan

NEW YORK, NY, August 2011 – LS by Lazy Susan, a leading international brand of decorative accessories, lighting and occasional furniture is launching its new collections, 200 new products in all, at shows nationwide culminating at the October High Point Market. Taking center stage is a fanciful black and white group called RIVIERA. Lazy Susan Creative Director Renee Wightman and her design team seem to have merged the very best of Dorothy Draper and Don Draper to come up with this group of retro-cool, black-and-white-striped home accessories. There are three sizes of elliptical trays, a set of pillar candles and a statement-making table lamp.

The RIVIERA group, as the name suggests, has a decidedly French aura about it. Marcel Marceau meets Coco Chanel in the RIVIERA lamp, a juxtaposition of crisp stripes with a Seussian silhouette, all on a grand scale. The lamp stands almost a yard tall. The trays could easily be the landing pad for a Mad Men character’s cufflinks, with their striking, mid-century shape and black tie coloration. They come in three sizes from 13” to around 21” long. Rounding out the offerings is a pair of pillar candles whose vertical “stripes” are crafted with natural bone. They’re offered in 3” and 6” tall versions.
