Knutsford telecoms firm Concert is playing a key role in tackling cyber crime across the region.

As a member of the newly-formed North West Cyber Security Cluster (NWCSC) Concert, who specialise in providing connectivity for the legal and financial sectors, will be using their knowledge to protect SMEs in the region from cyber crime.

The cluster, in collaboration with Security Lancaster - one of 12 centres of excellence for academic research in this industry - enables businesses in the area to benefit from the members’ combined expertise and put in place protective measures to help prevent cyber threats.

Neil Hollands, Managing Director of Concert, said: “Cyber security is one of the biggest issues faced by SMEs and I am delighted Concert are playing such an important role in tackling it.

“We are very proud to have been involved in the formation of the cluster and look forward to our continued involvement in its development.

“Not only is it a fantastic initiative that will help to protect organisations by raising cyber security standards across the North West, it also highlights the wealth of expertise that the region has in this field.”
