Kindred Group plc (formerly Unibet Group plc) is one of Europe’s leading tech companies operating in the online gambling sector. In 2016, the group handled an impressive six billion financial transactions from customers, same amount of transactions as the worldwide digital payment platform PayPal.

As a leading tech company, Kindred Group is constantly working to improve our customers’ experience with any of our 13 brands. Offering a safe and secure technical platform based on 150 microservices with the ability to support the ever-increasing demand from customers is a key objective. Last year our platform averaged 16 million financial transactions per day and managed over 2,000 releases with zero planned downtime, meaning an improved customer experience and no negative impact for our customers.

In 2010, Kindred Group (then Unibet Group) managed around 200 releases on an inefficient monolith platform often resulting in involuntary downtime. Today, Kindred Group has built a state-of-the-art platform that is fully scalable, robust and secure.

“Our customers trust us with their money, which is a great show of faith. We take this responsibility very seriously and have invested greatly in building a platform that not only offers a unique customer experience, but also a secure and swift transaction system”, says Marcus Smedman, Chief Technology Officer at Kindred Group.
