KA wins seat heating business for one of North America’s best selling cars
Kongsberg Automotive has secured a 6-year agreement with a major North American seat and interior manufacturer for the supply of seat heat systems to one of the best selling cars in the North American market.
The contract has an estimated lifetime value of EUR 19.8 million (NOK173 million). Production of the seat heat systems will begin in the second quarter of 2017 from the company's facility in Reynosa, Mexico.
The vehicle that will be supplied under the contract has consistently been one of North America’s best selling cars for more than 10 years. KA will supply complete seat heat systems including the electronic control unit.
