In connection with the Lantmännen Annual General Meeting today, a new chairman and members of the board were elected.

The Lantmännen Annual General Meeting was held on May 4th 2017 in Stockholm and was followed by a statutory board meeting.

The Annual Meeting resolved that the Lantmännen Board of Directors should comprise nine directors elected at the meeting, plus employee representatives.

Today's meeting voted to re-elect the following directors: Per Lindahl, Gunilla Aschan, Johan Mattsson and Hans Wallemyr. Henrik Wahlberg and Ove Gustafsson became newly elected directors, in accordance with the nomination committee proposal. The other members of the board are Ulf Gundemark, Pauline Lindwall and Thomas Magnusson, who were all elected in 2016.

Bengt-Olov Gunnarson, current chairman, and director Björn Wallin, had already announced they did not wish their names to be put forward to the nomination committee.

At the statutory board meeting, Per Lindahl was appointed chairman of the board and Hans Wallemyr vice chairman.

Lindahl lives in Kristianstad and runs a chicken rearing, egg production, grain and potato farming business with his family. He has an extensive experience and knowledge of farming and food enterprise. Lindahl has been a director of Lantmännen since 2011 and is also actively involved in the Lantmännen Research Foundation. He has previously held posts as chairman of Svensk Fågel (Swedish Poultry) and the Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies of Skåne, and as a director of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA).

“I am both humbled and delighted to accept the role as chairman of the Lantmännen board, one of the most important companies within Swedish agriculture and the food industry. I look forward to further developing and modernizing cooperation as a form of enterprise and playing my part in leading Lantmännen into the new digital future,” Lindahl said.

Wallemyr lives in Falköping and runs a grain, potato and wind power business with his family. Wallemyr has been a director of Lantmännen since 2007.
