Lufthansa Italia celebrates two million passengers with Happy Weekend Special

Extra seats available for £49 one-way from London-Heathrow to Milan Malpensa – Booking open from 5pm on Friday 17th to 11pm on Sunday 19th December

Since its launch in February 2009, Lufthansa Italia has already welcomed on board an impressive 2 million passengers flying to and from its hub at Milan-Malpensa. To celebrate this milestone, Lufthansa Italia’s Happy Weekend Special is offering UK passengers substantially increased availability of the lowest £49 one-way fare for all non-stop Lufthansa Italia flights from London-Heathrow to Milan-Malpensa (operating over 30 times weekly). The Happy Weekend Special will kick off at 5pm this Friday 17 December and will run until 11pm on Sunday 19th December 2010.

Fares include all taxes, fees and charges as well as 20 kg free check-in luggage, web check-in options and complimentary in-flight catering. Meals on board - under the brand “Sentirsi a Casa” - reflect the high standards of Italian cuisine on offer whilst Italian speaking flight attendants offer typical Italian drinks such as Spumante or freshly-brewed Espresso.

Happy Weekend Special tickets are valid for the travel period 10th January – 31st March 2011 and can be booked on-line via www.lufthansa.com.
