Free youth baseball clinic to feature Billy Brewer and Todd Haney

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Chinese youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series. The MLBPAA’s first trip to China since the Legends for Youth baseball clinic series’ induction will feature MLB veterans Billy Brewer and Todd Haney. Brewer’s career spanned seven seasons, pitching for the Royals, Yankees, Athletics and Phillies and led the majors in 1993 by allowing only 10.3% of inherited runners to score. Haney spent time with the Expos, Cubs and Mets, mainly as a second baseman during his five-year career. The clinics and autograph sessions will occur from Wednesday, November 2nd through Tuesday, November 8th, as listed below.

The clinics will take place across the country at various venues. Clinicians will train at different instructional stations for approximately 200 local youth ages 6 – 16. The clinics will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance.
