Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Phoenix, AZ

Free youth baseball clinic to feature James McAndrew, Duffy Dyer and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Saturday, March 25th, 2017. In conjunction with Maryvale Healthy Living Mercado - an event promoting healthy lifestyles - the free clinic features current and former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.

Players attending* include former New York Mets teammates and 1969 World Series champions Duffy Dyer and James McAndrew, as well as Larry Miller and Ken Rudolph. These four players combine for 33 seasons and 1,259 games in Major League Baseball, compiling 42 wins and 629 hits between them.

 

The clinic will take place at Maryvale Community Park, running from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., located at 3320 North 51st Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85031. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the morning will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
