The start-up process of Botnia's mill in Fray Bentos is making good progress.
So far, we have encountered no major problems and everything is running
according to schedule.

Yesterday, at 6 a.m. Uruguayan time, the mill started generating energy from
biomass (wood residues) at the main boiler in an intermittent manner.

At 15:45 p.m, the first pulp bales were produced on a trial basis. Right now,
the calibration processes at the different process areas continue.

‘The first pulp bale produced on a trial basis has been the result of the
effort made by the Uruguayan and Finnish technicians, who are working hand in
hand to conclude this first stage", commented Sami Saarela, the mill manager.
