Metsäliitto Group Stock Exchange Release 22 December 2010 at 16:00

Metsäliitto Cooperative has signed a new EUR 425 million term loan and revolving credit facility agreement with a syndicate of seven (7) banks, replacing the existing EUR 560 million facility. The new facility matures in April 2014, and will be used to refinance the existing facility and for general corporate purposes.

"Thanks to our systematic development programme, Metsäliitto’s financial performance has strengthened. This makes it now possible for us to take advantage of the prevailing market conditions and prolong the maturity and decrease the proportion of debt financing," says Vesa-Pekka Takala, Group CFO.

Bookrunners and Mandated Lead Arrangers for the transaction are DnB Nor, Nordea, Pohjola and Swedbank. Danske Bank, SEB and NyKredit joined the facility as arrangers.
