Meyer Optik Goerlitz now on Indiegogo
After a successful Kickstarter campaign for its Lydith 30mm art lens, Meyer Optik is now offering the lens to the Indiegogo community . The Lydith is one of the extraordinary lenses from famous German lens maker Meyer Optik.
The lens allows the photographer to capture the magic of the moment in an absolutely unique way as sharpness, contrast and bokeh combine perfectly together to allow for an outstanding composition of light and color. The Indiegogo project page shows many beautiful examples of the lens’ abilities.
Designed in the late 1950s and introduced to the market in 1964, the modern version of the Lydith will be updated with high-perfomance lens coatings and a short minimum focusing distance of 8 inches (16 cm). Like all of Meyer Optik’s lenses, the Lydith will be a fully manual lens, 100 percent handmade in Germany; the company will use Schott and Ohara glass only.
Through the Indiegogo campaign, the supporters have the opportunity to get the lens at a more than 40% discount of the expected retail price. The campaign will run until Sept. 6.
