Toronto, Ontario, Aug. 22, 2011--MV1 Canada is embarking on a 9 month tour across Canada starting on August 20th. The tour is designed to introduce the MV-1, North America’s first factory built wheelchair accessible vehicle to the Canadian consumer market.

The first MV-1 vehicles roll off the factory in Q4 of 2011. Anticipation in the Canadian market by both consumers and organizations that service people with special needs is very high.

The MV1Canada Tour has been designed to socialize the vehicle at the community level. It is starting in Cape Spear Newfoundland, the furthest eastern point in Canada, to the outer edge of Vancouver Island, touching hundreds of communities along the way.

The road team of Peter Grande and Solomon Levine will be capturing the journey, the people they meet, and all of the great community events they experience in a daily journal at www.mv1canada.com.

“It’s an exciting time for us and our many supporters across Canada. We wanted the opportunity to go and meet them in person and let them know firsthand who they are dealing with. As you can imagine, there is a lot of buzz around the MV-1 and even more questions, so we want to make sure we give everyone a place in the discussion” said Peter Grande of MV1Canada. “We don’t want to be a car company at all. We want to be a customer service company first and foremost. Our hope is our supporters and customers will see MV1Canada as their company. We will be looking to them for guidance, ideas, and ways to continually ensure the MV-1 is evolving to meet their needs. The MV-1 is our first introduction to the market but we plan on forever evolving to meet the diverse needs of our market.

The MV-1 will be selling through the MEDIchair chain of Durable Medical Equipment Dealers across Canada. The tour will be stopping in at these stores for day long events to raise awareness for an inclusive and accessible Canada, visiting as many communities along the way.

The Tour begins on August 24thin Cape Spear Newfoundland, the same time that the 25thAnniversary Rick Hansen Medal Relay kicks off.
