du Pré Group acquires Accounting Office Software Ltd
17 May 2013 – The Newbury, Berkshire-based du Pré Group has announced the acquisition of specialist finance and CRM software developer Accounting Office Software Ltd.
Accounting Office products include My.N, an integrated business management and accounting software system that meets the needs of a wide range of businesses and educational establishments. The company’s range of software is fully developed and supported from its Neath, West Glamorgan headquarters.
The du Pré Group includes school management information system specialist Double First Ltd, which has a 25-year track record of developing and supporting accounting solutions in the education market.
du Pré Group Chairman and Managing Director, Barry Anns, stated, “Accounting Office is a perfect fit within our growing organisation. We have experience of applying My.N into the education market as a reseller and we will now work to more closely integrate this application with our market leading Engage management information system.”
“For Accounting Office’s existing customers and dealers it is not just business as usual, but better”, Barry confirms. “We are already discussing with the team how to build on the company’s excellent products and services. Through our IT and telecoms solution provider du Pré plc we are familiar with many business verticals in which Accounting Office already has presence and will use that knowledge to improve My.N’s impact in those markets.”
Ian Richards, Accounting Office’s outgoing owner, stated, “The development of Accounting Office software and My.N over the past decade has taken the company to the point where it offers very versatile options for the management of business information in many markets. Now is the right time for it to be acquired by a larger organisation that has the necessary expertise and resources to generate future growth and success. After careful consideration I selected the du Pré Group due to the proven capabilities and obvious synergies that it offers.”
Ian Richards is retained by the business in a consultative capacity and Accounting Office will continue to operate as normal from its Neath office.
