COLUMBIA, SC (July 29, 2016) – On July 13, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices throughout the Carolinas joined forces to hold a clothing drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Columbia.  Each branch collected new or gently used clothing, which when combined, filled a delivery truck from the floor to ceiling. The Blythewood office alone donated 54 bags of clothing.

“I sit on the board for the Salvation Army, and am so proud to see how our offices and agents have come together to collect clothing,” said Ron Roe, regional senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and board member of the Salvation Army. “The success of this drive is inspiring, knowing these clothes will directly impact local families.”

The Salvation Army’s Family Store program offers an opportunity to those moving from homelessness, or those who are suffering from the results of natural disasters or other disabling circumstances, to meet their material needs. Shoppers can purchase merchandise in good condition for reasonable prices.

According to the broker in charge of the Blythewood Office, William Beckwith, “We are very proud to contribute to the Salvation Army because we appreciate and respect what they do in our communities and support their mission.”
