Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s Roger Pettingell Ranked #1 Individual Realtor® in Sarasota County for Fifth Consecutive Year

Pettingell sold a record-setting $77.53 million in residential real estate in 2016 and leads the luxury smart home revolution in Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL (January 12, 2016) — Roger Pettingell has once again broken his real estate sales record and ranked as the No. 1 individual Realtor® in Sarasota county, according to the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. Pettingell has accomplished a number one ranking seven of the past eight years. A Previews® Property Specialist with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s Longboat Key office, Pettingell closed 66 sales transactions in 2016 with a total sales volume of $77.53 million1, up from $72 million in 2015.

 

“Roger outsold the next individual sales associate by $30 million. He continues to shatter records and expectations, and we are so proud of his accomplishments,” said Clark Toole, president, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. “When an associate has been number one for seven years, you have to take into account how well he adapts to a changing marketplace and the needs of the luxury market, which is what ultimately sets himself apart.”

 

Among his list of accomplishments:

  • Since 2010, Pettingell has sold $411.33 million in real estate, representing 367 transaction sides
  • No. 1 Coldwell Banker sales associate in Florida for 7 of the past 9 years through 2015 (2016 sales statewide not yet finalized)
  • No. 1 Realtor® in Sarasota county, with 144 closed transaction sides of properties priced at $1 million or more over the past six years2more than any other real estate associate in Sarasota and Manatee County
  • No. 1 in Longboat Key (ZIP code 34228) with 100 closed transaction sides of properties priced at $1 million or more over the past six years

This week, Pettingell will be representing Coldwell Banker at the 2017 CES (Consumer Electronic Show) in Las Vegas. Pettingell is among the first Realtors nationwide to hold a Smart Home certification, the first in Sarasota He has embraced and utilized last year’s CES trends like the Ring™ Video Doorbell and voice controlled devices including Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home in his own residences and would like to see smart home technology find a place in home staging and showings.  

 

“There is a market for smart homes in Sarasota. Luxury homes and smart homes will continue to converge as technology and consumer demand increase.” said Pettingell. “I am excited to see what next year’s must have technology will be and how we as Realtors can best utilize and market new technology to smart home and luxury buyers and sellers.”

 

A dedicated family man with a wife and two young boys, Pettingell makes being an active member of the Sarasota community a top priority. He loves Sarasota and all that it offers, and is an active philanthropist. He sits on the board of directors for the West Coast Black Theatre Troupe, Southeastern Guide Dogs, and is a supporter  of Sarasota Adopt-A-Family, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Suncoast, Forty Carrots, the Child Protection Center and the American Red Cross.
