Smart MFPs from OKI solve everyday workflow management needs

OKI Data Americas announces the addition of new embedded solutions available for the award-winning MC873 and MB562 multifunction printers (MFPs) featuring the enhanced OKI smart Extendable Platform (sXP2). These solutions further expand compatibility with industry leading software applications, adding greater value and improved functionality to the latest OKI smart MFPs.

OKI’s expanded suite of solutions now includes:

  • Presto 2 is a robust enterprise mobile printing solution that solves the common challenges of printing in large scale deployments of iPads® and ChromeBooks™ – particularly in the education and healthcare environments. Presto 2 allows IT professionals to easily manage more than one mobile print technology such as iOS®, Android™ and Google Cloud Print™ at the same time with a single solution. It also preserves an organization’s investment in current printers and copiers that may not support iOS, Android or Google Cloud Print. Presto 2 is most commonly deployed in conjunction with cost cutting solutions such as PaperCut MF™ that make it ideal for organizations looking to better manage their office print environment.
  • PaperCut MF now supports OKI’s sXP2-enabled devices including the economical and award-winning MC873 color tabloid MFP and the productive, award-winning MB562 monochrome desktop all-in-one. Papercut MF allows organizations to save money on excess and unauthorized use by creating a secure and efficient printing environment. This is achieved, in part, by eliminating the stacks of printed pages that sit unclaimed on the device until making their way to the recycling bin. In addition, the software helps organizations such as law firms, universities and service oriented businesses to account for – and recoup the costs of – printing, copying, scanning and faxing.
  • Drivve | Image is also supported on the new OKI sXP2 platform. Drivve | Image provides high performance, feature-rich, scan-capture software that offers a smart way to enhance and seamlessly integrate scan workflows into an organization’s information infrastructure. The software helps businesses create automated and intuitive scan workflows that ensure the accuracy and consistency of scans, the security of documents, and the efficiency of routine business process workflows.

These software solutions are available today through authorized OKI dealers and designated sales channels.

“OKI continues to develop innovative printing solutions to help customers improve their business processes by reducing costs, improving security, and tracking and controlling usage,” said Tina Tuccillo, Vice President of Marketing for Office Products at OKI Data Americas. “OKI is seeking ways to redefine and advance the role of printing technology to better serve our customers, and to address their evolving document output and management needs.”

OKI products are built on parent company OKI Data Corporation’s history of leadership and innovation. Most of OKI’s color printing solutions feature Single Pass Color™ as well as proprietary digital LED and HD Color technologies. These technologies allow OKI to manufacture products that require fewer moving parts than the traditional laser printer.

OKI Data provides live[1], toll-free technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with agents based in North America. In addition, OKI Data live chat feature is available to customers within the US and Canada seeking online support on weekdays during normal business hours within the Eastern time zone.
