op5 releases op5 Monitor 6.3 to make it easier to get started with server Monitoring

The new release of op5 Monitor continues to lower the barriers for IT organizations to get started with server monitoring. System administrators and other IT staff can now download and try out the software for free and without user registration. In addition to the simplified download op5 Monitor 6.3 introduces new features improving flexibility and security of the monitoring solution.

op5 Monitor 6.3 introduces the following enhancements:

Simplified deployment through Management Packs – Following up on the successful launch of Management Packs, op5 Monitor 6.3 introduces 15 additional packs, making it easier and less time consuming to deploy monitoring of Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HP, Linux, Microsoft and VMware devices.

Enhanced support for external applications – To facilitate the development and integration of external clients such as mobile apps and customer portals, enhancements have been made to the op5 Monitor APIs, including support for additional commands as well as improved data-presentation.

Better user experience through improved SNMP support – By introducing support for list-views and advanced filter functionality for SNMP traps end user flexibility is improved, allowing administrators to tailor the system view to individual needs.

Improved security and ease-of-use – op5 Monitor 6.3 also introduces support for end-user authentication to multiple systems through single-sign-on. The simplified login yet secure login is enabled through HTTP Header authentication supporting authenticating proxies.
