Philips selects Opera browser for connected TVs

Oslo, Norway - June 10, 2008 - Opera Software today announced that it has signed an agreement with Philips Consumer Electronics. Under the terms of the agreement, Philips has licensed the Opera 9.5 SDK for Devices to make the Opera Web browser available on a new range of connected TVs aimed at the mass consumer market. Users will be able to access Web content via the Opera browser.

Opera Software will receive license, support and development fees in accordance with the agreement between Opera and the customer.
