The opening of the Parral Planta de Revisión Técnica (PRT), which is what Chilean inspection stations are called, is the second of eight stations, in multiple regions, currently being designed, built and operated by Systech Chile.

“We are pleased to have obtained approval of the Ministry to open our state-of-the-art PRT station in Parral,” said José Joaquín Velázquez Espinosa, Country Manager Chile of Opus. “We look forward to providing efficient, safe and convenient vehicle inspection services for the community of Parral, and the other communities in the Maule Region.”

Under an 8-year concession contract with MTT, Sytech Chile will conduct approximately 85,000 paid vehicle inspections a year in the the Maule Region. The new PRT, where 25,000 vehicle inspections are expected to be performed each year, will be the only vehicle inspection station in the Parral community.

The new PRT has two lines to serve heavy and light vehicles using the latest technologies available.

“Our recently hired and trained local staff is highly motivated and excited to get started to provide the best professional service to our customers.”, said Alfredo Granai, President of Opus’ Latin American division. "This start up is another step forward to fulfill Opus Inspection's ambitious growth plans for Chile where our goal is to have eight inspection stations operational in 2017."
