PROXI’s Award-Winning Hydrogen Peroxide Performance Now in Automatic Dish Detergent

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – March 14, 2012 Innovasource, maker of award-winning PROXI® products, is introducing PROXI® Automatic Dish Detergent Pods. The pods are uniquely formulated with hydrogen peroxide and biodegradable cleaning agents to power away dried-on foods and grease, while avoiding the use of harsh chemicals such as phosphates, chlorine bleach, and dyes. (EDITORS’ NOTE: For photo, Click Here) The Dish Pods complement the brand’s liquid Dish Soap, also formulated with hydrogen peroxide and biodegradable surfactants.

“The unit dose automatic dish detergent category is growing based on consumer demand for easy-to-use, pre-measured doses,” said Miranda Reynolds, Product Manager of Innovasource, which markets the PROXI brand. “However, our research showed that consumers were frustrated with pods sticking together in the bag, not fully dispersing in the wash cycle, and spotting and filming, while having to pay too high a price for this convenience. We carefully selected state-of-the-art raw materials to address these consumer frustrations.”

PROXI Automatic Dish Detergent Pods are designed with a state-of-the-art biodegradable film that completely dissolves during the wash cycle, but when properly stored, will not deteriorate or stick together. The pods contain a built-in rinse aid that helps to eliminate water spots and streaks on dishes. Yet, they are safe for plumbing, septic systems, and above all, the environment.

“Our product is formulated to allow particles to dissolve at different rates for cleaning and rinse aid cycles for enhanced cleaning performance throughout the dishwasher cycles,” noted Glenn Cueman, Vice-President of R&D for Innovasource.

PROXI Automatic Dish Detergent Pods were developed for consumers who want high performance, green attributes, value, quality, and wellness in the products they use. Many leading brands only offer 16 to 20 pods per bag, but PROXI contains 24 pods per pouch at a comparable price to the leading brands, giving consumers a greater value.

“It’s a high performance dish pod that remains focused on environmentally-responsible chemistry,” said Sandy Porter, chemist for PROXI products. “The detergent was optimized using a solid form of hydrogen peroxide to power away tough stains such as spaghetti sauce and coffee. The biodegradable cleaning agents and enzymes dissolve and lift food particles and grease from the surface, while at the same time, saving our customers money and protecting the environment,” Porter said.

PROXI Auto Dish Detergent Pods, like the entire PROXI line, lists all ingredients on the back label to give shoppers the information they want and need. The packaging also gives shoppers advice on how to properly load their dishwasher to optimize cleaning performance.
