OxySure to the Rescue in Manatee County, Florida Number of Saves Tops 200
Frisco, Texas , April 9, 2012 – OxySure® Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:OXYS) (“OxySure”), the pioneering manufacturer of life-saving easy-to-use emergency oxygen solutions with its “oxygen from powder” technology today announced that the Company’s Model 615 portable emergency oxygen unit was used to assist in the save of a manufacturing employee in Manatee County, Florida. This brings the number of saves with the OxySure Model 615 to well in excess of 200 in less than three years after commercial sales of the product began.
According to Tim Hillman, Health & Safety Coordinator for the manufacturing facility where the emergency took place, an employee called him at 9:00am eastern time on March 6, 2012 from the shop area, indicating that “one of his team members was not feeling well and that I should go take a look at him.” He added: “I went out to the shop, got the employee and brought him back to my medical office. I evaluated his condition as we called 911, and had the AED standing by. When the employee informed me that he was having difficulty with his breathing I used the OxySure unit to help him breathe. When Manatee County EMS & Southern Manatee Fire Rescue showed up they took the employee to Manatee Memorial Hospital. I followed up with his family and was informed that he had a blocked artery and that it had caused him to have a tear in his aorta. With surgery they were able to help him and now he is recovering well at home with his family.”
In presenting Mr. Hillman with the OxySure Hero Award, Julian Ross, CEO of OxySure stated: “Thanks to Tim and his quick-thinking, a good outcome was achieved by bridging the gap between a medical distress situation and the time professional help arrived, and the employee was able to receive advanced medical care. “Bridging the gap” is in line with our mission, and we applaud Tim, and many others like him who do not hesitate to help when it is needed.”
