Hannah and Hugh proud to be finalists for Baby Awards
Mumpreneur Pamela Orji, who started her skincare business Hannah and Hugh to solve her daughter’s eczema issues was a finalist for the Baby Awards section of the Beauty Shortlist
After her brand of organic, natural skin care products was launched earlier in the year, mother of one and entrepreneur Pamlea Orji, creator of Hannah and Hugh, was thrilled to be nominated and a finalist for the prestigious Baby Awards in the Beauty Shortlist Awards.
Fifteen prizes were handed out in total to skincare brands and products, specifically for mums and babies. Self taught Pamela has seen Hannah and Hugh grow from a personal interest of hers to alleviate her daughter's eczema, to a product stocked in some of the finest skin care shops. Alongside the two products receiving finalist positions, Pamela has been busy this year with her biggest achievement: her daughter. She said, "being a finalist for such a prestigious award from doing what comes naturally and seeking the best care for my daughter is an amazing feeling! Initially I just wanted to soother her scratchy skin. To be nominated as an inspiration to other mums and mumpreneurs is fantastic!"
As the awards enter their 5th year of celebrating natural and green skincare across the UK, Pamela was delighted to have had her nappy cream and shampoo both shortlisted. Voted by Cision as number 3 in the top 10 UK beauty blogs, the Beauty Shortlist have a string of other awards to emphasise their acclaim and have made the annual awards a feature of their website.
Having noticed a gap in the market for a sensitive and paraben free eczema friendly nappy cream, founder and product developer Pamela Orji created a solution to her daughter’s own eczema. Her mission now is to educate people to make better choices when deciding on skincare products; especially for babies. She said, "All our ingredients are proudly sourced locally and manufactured entirely in the UK which reduces our carbon footprint. Our children are our future and as such we owe it to them to preserve their world."
All of Hannah and Hugh’s skincare products have been carefully chosen for their safe and beneficial qualities, which are sustainable and skin friendly too. Totally free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, PEGS, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances or colours, Pamela is passionate about the ingredients she chooses, having researched well prior to creating her winning formulas. Ingredients include natural butters such as Cocoa and Shea, and essential oils such as lavender and chamomile to soothe and soften skin.
