Papyrus has acquired the Belgian large format printing distributor, XL Graphics. With the acquisition of XL Graphics, Papyrus gains a number two position on the Belgian market for the growing segments of signs & displays and digital printing on large format surfaces. The all-cash acquisition was completed on October 28, 2011.

“As a result of the XL Graphic acquisition, we now have a strong market position in Belgium to participate in the fast growing segment of visual communication. We will further improve our service to customers by adding a product and service range complementary to Papyrus,” says Jan Muller, Senior Vice President Western Cluster.

The acquisition of XL Graphics follows the acquisitions of two Swedish full service retailers within professional cleaning, Städcentralen Träffpunkten AB and StädgrossImporten i Stockholm AB. The strategic aim of the acquisitions is to expand sales in value-added segments and to strengthen Papyrus position as a leading paper, facility supplies and industrial packaging merchant in Europe.
