Former General Manager of King in Malmö Appointed to Run Innovation & Mobile

STOCKHOLM — Nov. 14, 2016Global publisher and developer Paradox Interactive today revealed that experienced game veteran Kim Nordström will be joining its ranks to take lead on the company's innovation and mobile initiatives. Kim has more than 15 years of experience from the games industry in various roles and capacities, most recently as General Manager of King in Malmö and previously as R&D Manager at SCEA (PlayStation) in San Francisco developing PlayStation 4. He will assume the role in January when he will start outlining the plans for the future and assume responsibility for the company's current mobile initiatives.

“We have already initiated discussions with external studios to explore the possibility of building mobile versions of our franchises and are on the lookout for more studios as well as key talent to join Kim’s team once he starts in January next year,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive. “At that point we will also start solidifying the plans for our best next steps in those areas. Kim has a great track record, but more importantly, an attitude and mindset that is the right fit for Paradox, and I am thrilled to welcome him onboard.”

“I’m very happy to join the Paradox family and to be part of the great company culture I’ve heard so much about,” said Kim Nordström. “I'm also very excited to be part of the innovation initiatives preparing the company for the future, and to lead the investments needed to enter the mobile market. Paradox has a great portfolio and a loyal fanbase, and that’s a great start to successfully enter the mobile market. What I need, starting from next year, is amazing talent and studios to work with, and I know Paradox and its partners will come through.”
