International couriers ParcelHero invites the crowds to join its growth by offering an equity stake to investors through crowdfunding

No one can have failed to notice the rise and rise of e-commerce, and the equally rapid growth in doorstep and drop-box deliveries to meet the demand. Now everyday investors have the chance to share in this fast-growing market through the increasingly popular method of crowdfunding. Roger Sumner-Rivers, founder and CEO of ParcelHero, is delivering a unique opportunity to individual small investors and larger financial investors: an equity stake in Parcelhero’s parent group Deliver Plus International.

It’s the opportunity to own a share in the Group that has set out to disrupt an entire industry though technological revolution. Having successfully generated finance through crowdfunding last year, Roger has passionately embraced this fundraising method. ‘The model just made perfect sense to me, and really worked.’ he explains. Roger is now using this increasingly popular funding mechanism to enable the Group to reach the next stage in its exciting growth plans.

Roger has chosen to offer the shares through Crowdcube, the world’s leading investment crowdfunding site, which specialises in enabling everyday investors to help entrepreneurs raise the finance they need to grow. You can invest from £10 to £300,000 in the UK’s fastest-growing online courier. Full details are available at http://www.crowdcube.com/investment/deliver-plus-group-16249

Roger explains: ‘We are returning to crowdfunding, but this time for an equity stake in the business. We are offering an 8% share in our Group for funding of £300k. Our sector is booming due to the huge increase in e-commerce and we are ideally placed to capitalise on this. The Group is one of only six online couriers to have partnership agreements with all five leading global carriers: DHL, UPS, Fed-Ex, TNT and ParcelForce.

IMRG has predicted parcel order volumes from UK e-retailers will exceed 19% year-on-year. If current growth is maintained, UK parcel deliveries will hit 920 million this year. Roger believes this could be a conservative estimate and is anticipating the UK hits the magic billion deliveries by the end of 2014.

The Group has a commitment to innovation, with market leading technology that makes sending a parcel smarter, faster and more intuitive. The Group portfolio of brands, ParcelHero.com, Fastlane Couriers, DeliverPlus, AlfaSent and Parcelvision, use their aggregated buying power to offer first-class parcel delivery at prices up to 50% cheaper than booking direct or via Royal Mail.

Roger adds: “As well as technological innovation and great pricing, I am an evangelist for quality of service. Our focus on only offering the services of the worlds most trusted couriers, and our pro-active approach to customer care, whereby we track and monitor shipments on behalf of our customers is directly responsible for our great reputation online, borne out by our Trustpilot rating of 96%, with over 2,600 positive reviews.   Put simply we don’t ask our customers to choose between cost and quality. We deliver both.”
