Peab builds elderly homes in Nyköping

Peab has been commissioned to build an elderly home facility in Nyköping. The client is the municipality of Nyköping and the contract amounts to SEK 258 million.
The elderly accommodation consists of 146 apartments for elderly and sheltered housing. The unit will consist of two buildings containing hall, studios for daytime activities, restaurant kitchen and staff and office space.

The residences are designed so that all residents, irrespective of mobility shall be offered stimulating experiences in their daily lives. The large courtyard is weather protected experience garden that is designed for optimum accessibility and stimulation of the senses.

Construction will start in October 2012 and the elderly housing will be completed in autumn 2014
