Peab has today acquired gravel and rock operations in the Gothenburg area

Today on 1 September Peab has, through its subsidiary Swerock, carried out the acquisition of the operations ran by HeidelbergCement Northern Europe within extraction, production and sales of gravel and rock products in the Western Götaland region. 

“The acquisition is a step in Swedrock’s strategy to strengthen its position in the gravel and rock market in Gothenburg. We have acquired a well-functioning business with an organization that brings with it synergies for the entire business area Industry in western Sweden,” says K-G Karlsson, Business Area Manager Industry.”

Operations are primarily concentrated to Kållered.

Collective net sales for the business in the financial year 2015 amounted to around SEK 110 million and there are 27 employees.
