Powernet Oy ensures the functionality of the access control system at the Helsinki Music Centre
The power supplies of Powernet serve and back up the access control system as a great complement to Hedengren’s smoke alarm and security system applications
Hedengren Security has delivered Powernet’s new ADA DC-UPS battery back-up power supplies securing the power of the access control system at the Helsinki Music Centre.
Hedengren was responsible for the system delivery, a third party for the planning and Powernet for the power supply delivery. The project took off a year and a half ago and was completed in the summer of 2011.
Visitors at the Music Centre are not able to see the system, but the one hundred power supplies of the access control system affect all the doors in the centre. And there are about 400 doors in the building altogether. When a visitor enters the building, he or she is immediately in touch with the access control system.
– It was a demanding project and that’s why we decided to use ADA battery back-up power supplies and materials. It was also a great advantage for us to be able to take part in the product planning, says product manager Jukka Routtu at Hedengren Oy.
– The co-operation with Powernet Oy was smooth and easy. Together we were able to deliver a reliable and a well-designed system. The high quality of Powernet’s power supplies is a quality guarantee in all power supply applications. We installed more than 100 power supplies in the building and haven’t replaced a single one. This is proof of high quality, which is also a great asset for the Music Centre, adds Routtu.

The ADA product family offers a good DC-UPS solution for power ranges 60-250W and 12/24/48VDC voltages.
