Polygon AS in Norway has been honored with the “Service Achievement of the Year 2017” award by NHO Service (The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise in the Service Sector). The award was recently presented during NHO Service`s annual conference and was accepted by a very proud Kai Andersen, Country President for Polygon Norway.

“It makes me very proud of being part of such an organisation as Polygon Norway. We are thrilled to get this award and it shows that all our work we have done has paid off”, says Kai Andersen, Country President at Polygon Norway.

The jury’s motivation:
“Polygon has been a valuable contributor in promoting the interests of the industry. The company has been deeply committed to the development of new industry standards that reduce problems in emergency and rescue operations, particularly the standards that apply to cultural heritage objects. Every year, a number of important cultural heritage items and properties are destroyed in Norway as a result of disasters such as fires and floods. Many of them are poorly protected and the emergency services often have insufficient knowledge about cultural heritage issues. The new industry standards from NHO Service that are designed to minimize these problems have been developed in collaboration with the National Heritage Board, among others. And Polygon has played a vital role in this process.”
