BPI.AGRI ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR NSA WELSH SHEEP 2011

Leading manufacturer of balewrap and clamp sheets, bpi.agri is once again attending NSA Welsh Sheep. Held on 18th May at Maesllwyni & Maesterran, Powys and organised by the National Sheep Association, this annual, one day technical event aims to showcase the latest developments from within the sheep farming industry.

For its part, bpi.agri – which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year – will be staging an open advice clinic. Run by Mel John, bpi.agri Sales Manager for Wales and a well known figure amongst the Welsh farming community, this clinic will allow farmers to receive individually tailored advice on their specific silage making requirements and challenges.

As well as staging the clinic, bpi.agri will also be using the NSA Welsh Sheep event to promote some of its most innovative and successful products. This includes Silotite – bpi.agri’s world leading balewrapping film used on over 40 million bales across more than 50 different countries each year.

Silotite owes its success to a number of remarkable performance characteristics including impressive strength, thanks to its multi-layer construction, and the ability to deliver an exceptional air tight seal due to its two-sided tack and in-built UV protection.

bpi.agri will be also be showcasing its new Visqueen Clingseal silage sheet. Designed for use underneath a conventional silage sheet like bpi.agri’s Visqueen Agri-S, Visqueen Clingseal benefits from a thinner profile which allows it to ‘cling’ more closely to the contours of the clamp’s surface and to tuck in more at the sides. The net result is a closer fitting air barrier with fewer air pockets which can cause spoilage in the clamp’s top and shoulders.

Speaking of bpi.agri’s planned appearance at NSA Welsh Sheep, Louise Aplin, Marketing Manager at the business, said: “As a business, bpi.agri is committed to helping all farmers to achieve the best quality silage, whether they rear sheep or cattle. We look forward to demonstrating this commitment at NSA Welsh Sheep by showcasing a number of products and also by staging an open advice clinic that will enable farmers to benefit from our considerable expertise of silage production developed over the last 25 years.”
