Manchester-based Daycare 4 Dogs, in association with All4Paws, is holding a 10km sponsored dog walk to raise funds for AID (Animals in Distress).
The event, which takes place on Sunday 3rd July 2011 at 12pm, will see walkers and their pets make their way from Chorlton Water Park to Didsbury Rugby Club and back again in a bid to raise £2000 for the charity.
AID provides stray, abandoned, injured, sick or old animals and unwanted pets in the North West of England with around-the-clock care. Based in Irlam, the charity aims to offer these animals a better quality of life, either through finding them a new home or by providing long term shelter for their remaining years in a secure and loving environment.
Entry into the sponsored walk is just £10 per dog and is open to anyone, whether you own a dog or are just willing to walk someone else’s. The only requirement is that all walkers bring along a pooper-scooper or a bag to clean up after their dogs along the way.
