ProfilGruppen heading towards new levels – investing in new world class production facility
The Board of ProfilGruppen has today made a decision about an investment in a new extrusion line for aluminium profiles in Åseda.
The investment consists of a brand new production facility with modern technology that will create a world class production process and enables continued growth in the market.
The plant will be built on a new industrial area in close proximity to the existing facilities of the company, in Åseda.
The background to the investment is the strong growth of ProfilGruppen in recent years, through increased trust and new business from both new and existing customers.
In 2017 ProfilGruppen delivered around 29,700 tonnes of aluminium profiles from the existing three extrusion lines and the investment is assessed to add capacity of approximately 12,500 tonnes annually.
For the new extrusion line a new building will also be built.
In total the investment amounts to approximately MSEK 310 including internal project and start-up costs. Required bank financing of the investment is secured.
The project will be started immediately and the facility is assessed to be in operation around the year-end 2019/2020.
ProfilGruppen communicated in July 2017 that a direction decision of the mentioned investment had been taken. Since then the conditions for the investment have been analysed more thoroughly and today the Board made the decision to invest.
