Helsinki Administrative Court has mainly rejected CDON Alandia’s claims in Finnish taxation case

Report this content

The Helsinki Administrative Court has today in the afternoon mainly rejected CDON Alandia’s (a company within Qliro Group, registered in Åland, Finland) claims for overruling the Finnish Tax Administration’s re-assessment decision for the fiscal year 2012. As a consequence, Qliro Group’s results in the second quarter 2018 will be affected with at most EUR 6.9 million. The amount has already been paid to Finnish authorities so the decision is expected to have no negative cash flow impact. CDON Alandia and its advisors are evaluating the conditions for applying for leave for appeal from the Finnish Supreme Administrative Court.

On January 5, 2016, Qliro Group announced that the Tax Administration re-assessed CDON Alandias taxation for the fiscal year 2012. CDON Alandia appealed the decision to the Helsinki Administrative Court during the first quarter of 2016.

The full amount has already been paid to the Finnish authorities in 2017 or earlier. The decision of the Administrative Court is not expected to have any further negative impact on Qliro Group's cash flow.
