As part of its well-established UK Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Ford of Britain has further demonstrated its commitment to the safety of its UK customers and other road users, by becoming the latest company to join TyreSafe.
Through its membership, Ford of Britain will actively support TyreSafe’s campaigns, helping to educate drivers of both car and commercial vehicles about the importance of proper, regular tyre maintenance. It will also provide the group with other valuable insight to help improve road safety.
Ford customers in the UK already benefit from free tyre safety checks available through its network of authorised dealerships and the company already displays a wealth of tyre safety information on its website,
www.ford.co.uk/tyres.
“It’s fantastic to be able to welcome Ford of Britain to TyreSafe,” comments Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe. “Their involvement and support will be a valuable addition to the organisation and I’m sure it will help make our campaigns even more effective.”
“As our latest models demonstrate, vehicle safety in all its forms is at the heart of Ford research and development ,” explains Jon Wellsman, Director Customer Service, Ford. “Properly maintained tyres play a vital role in vehicle safety and we are delighted to lend our support to the TyreSafe campaign.”
