Swedish environmental technology company Ripasso Energy AB has hired Heije Westberg as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and member of senior management. Westberg’s previous assignment was CTO of Minesto AB.

Ripasso Energy is adapting and developing its operations on the back of the sales successes of 2017. For the newly-established role of Chief Technical Officer (CTO), the company has chosen to employ Heije Westberg. Westberg comes from a strong managerial background, and has many years’ experience of building and developing technical organisations, as well as extensive technical competence, and a doctorate degree from Chalmers/University of Gothenburg. She joins the company from a most recent posting at environmental technology company Minesto AB, having prior to that worked at Volvo Technology Corporation.

We’re really happy to be able to recruit Heije Westberg at Ripasso Energy. Her background, her substantial experience in the energy sector, and her extensive knowledge and competence in combustion technology are utterly ideal for us. In Heije we’ve got exactly the CTO we need for the next phase in the company’s development,” says Gunnar Larsson, CEO of Ripasso Energy AB.

Ripasso Energy is an exciting company. It’s impressive to see how they have successfully refined and adapted the 200-year-old Stirling technology for use in the production of climate-friendly electricity. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the continued development of the company as its products go into mass production,” says Ripasso Energy’s new CTO, Heije Westberg.
