The world is a stage and the green pigs are players in Piggy Tales: Third Act on ToonsTV
Third season of popular Rovio animated series debuts exclusively in ToonsTV app
The mischievous green villains from the Angry Birds games and The Angry Birds Movie are returning to screens for Piggy Tales: Third Act, the third season of the popular animated online series from Rovio Animation.
The conniving green pigs are featured in “The Angry Birds Movie,” which reached No. 1 in 50 countries, including the United States and China, for the film’s global release last month.
An all-new episode, “Wrong Floor,” debuts on June 3 exclusively in the ToonsTV app for iOS and Android devices. The episode will then be available on the ToonsTV channel in Angry Birds games and the ToonsTV YouTube channel on June 5.
The theater-themed Third Act season features 30 one-minute episodes of the goofy green pigs as they rehearse and horse around on-stage. New episodes air weekly through the season finale later in the year.
Piggy Tales began in 2014 and has amassed more than 1 billion views to date.
In whole, ToonsTV has had more than 6 billion views since 2013, across 30 kid-friendly channels. Rovio continues to expand the video-on-demand service with both original and partner content.
For the third season, fans can get excited about these special multi-part episodes:
- Summer Sports, July 22 - Aug. 28
- Back To School, Aug. 22 - Sept. 25
- Halloween, Sept. 30 - Nov. 6
- Happy Holidays, Dec. 1 - Jan. 8
