Adverty Brings Seamless Programmatic Advertising to Future Media Channel Mixed Reality
Adverty AB (publ) announces the release of the world’s first programmatic ad network for Mixed Reality with the launch of its patent-pending technology for seamless advertising in the HoloLens game PuzzlAR: World Tour.
Mobile Augmented Reality became a mass market phenomenon with Niantic’s Pokemon Go in 2016 and has since grown to a more technically advanced platform with the support of Google’s ARCore and Apple’s ARKit currently embedded in more than 500 million smartphones and tablets globally1.
Augmented Reality experienced through a head-mounted display, often referred to as Mixed Reality (MR), is where this technology is heading, with companies such as Microsoft and Magic Leap working to bring smart glasses capable of projecting photorealistic computer graphics seamlessly into your real world.
The technology shift towards the next screens consisting of VR headsets, AR phones, and MR glasses is already happening and Adverty is establishing themselves as the leading provider of advertising technology for these new media platforms by announcing today the release of the world’s first programmatic ad network for Mixed Reality.
Launching on Microsoft’s Mixed Reality platform for the HoloLens, brands can now advertise with virtual posters and billboards placed into consumers real environments as part of the Mixed Reality experience. The first publisher to use Adverty’s MR platform for ad monetization is Lisbon based Bica Studios with their mind-blowing game “PuzzlAR: World Tour” for the HoloLens.
“Moving pieces of a puzzle around yourself in your real world surrounded by virtual objects all over your field of vision must be seen and experienced to believe it”, says Niklas Wallgren, Business Development Manager at Adverty. “Enabling a new revenue stream to app publishers by adding seamless, non-intrusive ads is what Adverty is all about and we’re looking to bring our monetization platform to more creators and content in the near future”, he continues.
Adverty is the first advertising tech company to move into the world of spatial computing and Mixed Reality and will be available to meet with advertisers, creators and publishers at Magic Leap’s L.E.A.P. Conference in Los Angeles on October 9-10th.
“When advertising moves from a small two-dimensional space into a much larger three-dimensional room, the rules for digital advertising must be rewritten”, claims Adverty CEO and co-founder Niklas Bakos. “We are starting with seamless virtual posters and billboards to allow an easy onboarding process for brands and advertisers to enter this new media, but in the near future we will be providing more exciting ad formats that utilize the opportunities given in Mixed Reality, Bakos adds.
