Patrik Andersson is one of Sweden’s most celebrated soccer stars, having played in major European teams and with a World Cup bronze medal and a Champions League title on his list of merits. He is now part of Serneke’s drive to build a team that will develop the sports facilities of the future.

When Serneke created the Nordic region’s largest multi-sport facility, Priority Serneke Arena, in Gothenburg, Sweden became aware of what a sports facility could look like and the opportunities it could offer. Training and broad-base sports, combined with hotel and conference facilities, shops and innovative solutions create an interesting destination and meeting place that people want to visit, where they want to be active, and where they want to stay.

Now, Serneke is investing further and bringing Patrik “Bjarred” Andersson, one of Sweden’s most accomplished soccer players, on board in plans to set up several sports facilities around the country. “With Patrik’s experience in sports, from the grass roots to the very top, and with his vast network, he will be crucial in our planning of new solutions to how sports facilities can fill a role in developing society. We welcome him warmly to our initiative,” says Ola Serneke, CEO and founder of Serneke.

There is currently great interest in construction centered on sports in several places around the country and Serneke is conducting discussions with several municipalities on the issue. Patrik Andersson’s role will be to develop innovative concept solutions for facilities and to coordinate cooperation and needs among all stakeholders.

“Serneke’s initiative in sports arenas comes at precisely the right time. For more than two decades, I have been accumulating experience of international arenas and being part of creating tomorrow’s sports arenas in Sweden is in line with my interest in that area,” says Patrik Andersson.

From Patrik Andersson’s list of merits:
