Serneke to build additional housing for Förbo in Kungälv
Serneke Construction has entered into a contract with Förbo to build additional tenant-owner apartments in the new district of Kongahälla in Kungälv. The order is valued at approximately SEK 54 million.
The project has the name Kongahälla 5.2 and will be a residential building with eight floors and 31 apartments, as well as available premises. Serneke is involved in another ongoing project for Förbo in the area, where 65 apartments and a preschool are being completed right across the street.
“It feels great to get started with our last block in Kongahälla and develop more housing in Kungälv together with Serneke,” says Anna Olá, property development manager at Förbo.
In addition to Förbo’s projects Kongahälla 5.2 and 9.1, Serneke is carrying out the construction of the shopping center Kongahälla Shopping and Brf Vildvinet in the same area. This area in Kungälv is extremely expensive, and in addition to Serneke’s projects, a number of constructions are in progress nearby.
“The conditions for this project mean that our organization will need good communication with the other operators and that the logistics planning is 100 %. We work with this in all projects, but for this particular one the challenges come from more directions and with some different conditions. However, that is something that we all look forward to work with", says Christopher Hjelm, Construction Manager, Serneke Construction.
Construction is scheduled to commence in the beginning of October 2017, and the project is to be completed by spring 2019. The order amount will be included in order bookings for the second quarter of 2017.
