SAVORTEX win at the 2013 Energy & Environment Awards
SAVORTEX awarded a Energy & Environment Award for their Vortex Ecosmart Hand Dryer.
British Manufacturer SAVORTEX has picked up an award at this year’s Energy & Environment Awards for their Vortex Ecosmart Hand Dryer.

SAVORTEX, the young and ambitious, technology-driven British Manufacturer of super energy efficient hand dryers won the category: Environment Product/Service Award 2013 for their Vortex EcoSmart hand dryer. The dryer is also the world’s first hand dryer to achieve a Guinness World Records title for its energy efficiency, drying most pairs of hand’s using just 30 KJ of energy.
SAVORTEX designs and manufactures revolutionary super low energy hand drying products for the global washroom sector. Existing multinational-national clients include MacDonalds, British Airways, British Gas and Marriott Hotels.
The Vortex dries in seconds creating 180 miles per hour in air speed. The energy savings created by the Vortex can be offset and fully justified when purchasing.
The Vortex deploys a heat regenerative technique that uses compression to heat the air - incorporating 3 registered patents, replacing heating elements and maximizing the energy efficiency. The Vortex comes with an industry leading 7-year warranty as standard.

SAVORTEX holds The Guinness World Records title for most hands dried using 30kJ of energy. This was devised by Guinness World Records officials as a challenge to measure the energy efficiency in hand drying. The Vortex EcoSmart successfully dried four pairs of hands using less than 30kJ of energy. Typically, hand dryers use between 72kJ and 96kJ of power to dry just one pair of hands. SAVORTEX successfully achieved four pairs of dry hands using just under 25kJ of energy – smashing the minimums set by Guinness World Records officials and claiming the world record.
