Regent Street's official Olympic media centre becomes West End haven for the Cultural Olympiad

London Media Centre "Regent Street"; located by Piccadilly Circus underground station is fast becoming the haven for journalists and broadcasters in search of the West End Cultural Olympiad news stories

Located within The Crown Estate’s new Quadrant 3 development with views of Piccadilly Circus, London Media Centre Regent Street (#lmcregentstreet) is open daily from 8am till 11pm until 10 September 2012.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: "London has some fantastic stories to tell during the Games and journalists from across the globe now have two state of the art facilities from which to cover them. Thanks to The Crown Estate’s wonderful Regent Street building we can offer a second centre right in the heart of London where the world’s media can base themselves during this summer like no other."

LMC Regent Street offers a number of complimentary services such as a full time west end pr team to assist with enquiries and state-of-the-art technical support for print, broadcast and online media. Free network and wireless connections and five FREE first-come first-served iMac (Final Cut Pro) ‘edit stations’, complete with high-speed bandwidth and broadcast monitor.

Complimentary security lockers with power sockets to recharge equipment, refreshments from East India Tea Company and Puro fair-trade coffee and the finest products from Penhaligon’s are supplied within the restroom facilities. Chill out zones to watch Olympic coverage live and dedicated work areas placed throughout the two-floor space.

Press trip opportunities exploring the food, fashion, and lifestyle are taking place daily. For example, “in the footsteps of Ian Fleming” walks around the St. James’s area and in particular Jermyn Street, London SW1.
