Skanska builds National Emergency Response Center in Ski Municipality, Norway, for NOK 1.5B, about SEK 1.5B

Skanska has signed a contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Emergency Planning to build the National Police Emergency Response Center at Taraldrud in Ski Municipality, Norway. The contract is worth about NOK 1.5 billion, about SEK 1.5 billion, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter of 2018.

The about 34,000 square meter center will co-locate police helicopter service, emergency services, bomb squad and crisis and hostage negotiations. The project includes an administrative building and training facilities with swimming pool, shooting lanes and for combat training in urban areas, helicopter base and parking. The project also includes construction work with adjacent roads and infrastructure.

Construction start is scheduled for March 2018 and the Emergency Response Center will be operational as of December 15, 2020.
