Skanska builds new hotel at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden, for about SEK 710M

Skanska has signed a contract with Swedavia to build a hotel at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 710M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the third quarter 2017.

The hotel, with an area of ​​20,000 square meters spread over 14 floors and 503 hotel rooms, will be the largest airport hotel in the Nordic countries. It will have a combined lobby and lounge, restaurant, bar and conservatory.

The hotel will be run by Nordic Choice Hotels, which previously established the Clarion Hotel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

The building will be certified according to the BREEAM environmental certification system.

Construction commences in August 2017 and the project is scheduled to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2019.
